31ST MEETING OF THE SYNDICATE, FJMU & ITS ALLIED INSTITUTIONS

31st Meeting of the Syndicate Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) and its Allied Institutions was held on 08.12.2022 under the Chair of Prof. Dr. Yasmin Rashid Pro-Chancellor FJMU/ Minister for Health, Govt. of the Punjab.
Meeting started with the recitation from the Holy Quran.
Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal welcomed all the participants.
Vice Chancellor Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University Prof. Dr. Tanwir Khaliq attended the meeting through online medium as Representative of Higher Education Commission.
Additional Secretary (Finance) SHC&ME Department Ms. Shahida Faruukh Naveed, Deputy Secretary Finance Department Mr. Muhammad Mohsin Salahuddin, Additonal Director Law & Parliamentary Affairs Department Mr. Shahid Imtiaz, Pro-Vice Chancellor FJMU Prof. Shamsa Humayun, Registrar FJMU Prof. Muhammad Nadeem, Medical Superintendent SGRH Dr. Athar Yousaf, Medical Superintendent GTHS Dr. Amir Saleem, Medical Superintendent GMTH Dr. Ahsan Awan and Principal College of Nursing SGRH Ms. Bilquees Akhtar also attended the meeting.
Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal gave a brief introduction on up-gradation of MCH, Visit of Kesha Ram (Great-Grand Daughter of Sir Ganga Ram), Visit of foreign delegate from UK Emeritus Professor of Endocrinology Prof. Shalet and Senior Consultant Endocrinologist Prof. Asad Rahim and Flood Relief Activities in flood affected areas.
The Syndicate appreciated the efforts of the Faculty and Alumni of FJMU for actively participating monetarily and physically in the relief and rehabilitation activities in the flood affected areas of the country. A village named Kashani Basti at District Rajanpur, South Punjab, adopted by FJMU and its Alumni Association (FJMCAANA), for the purpose of Rehabilitation Work. It was planned to construct 100 new houses out of which 29 new houses has been constructed and remaining construction of the houses will be completed soon.
Various agenda items related to Academics, Procurement & Finance and Human Resource were presented, discussed and approved by the Syndicate.
The Chair advised for Strengthening of finances from Own Resources and Research Projects. She further emphasized and directed to Medical Superintendents of all 03 Allied Hospitals to make sure the utilization of Sehat Sahulat Card in Public Sector Institutions.
The meeting was ended with the vote of thanks to the Chair.
