He said that Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal has taught us peace and tolerance. If the youth get guidance from Allama Iqbal’s thought and philosophy, then they can certainly become ideal and standard human beings. He further apprised that the world is based on hope, and we will also hope that with Iqbal’s poetry, the heroes of the nation will wake up and find the real purpose of life.
The great-grandson of the lagendary poet Mashrek Allama Doctor Muhammad Iqbal, Mian Iqbal Salahuddin Sahib participated in the mushaira as a special guest and warmed the blood of Iqbal’s Shaheens with the words of Iqbal. He said that Allama Iqbal says that only women produce proud youth. Two important aspects of Iqbal’s poetry are monotheism and discipline. The recognition of Allah was blessed because of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Iqbal explained the meaning of “La ilaha illallah” in a way that one should never bow down to anything other than Allah Almighty. Tawheed cannot be overcome by the fear of non-Allah, and similarly, grief also weakens our personality. Therefore, we should only bow before Allah Subhan wa Taala. Towheed makes Islam a universal religion. We should recite the word Tawheed with our tongue as well as our soul. At the end of his speech, he thanked all the participants, including the Vice Chancellor, Professor Khalid Masood Gondal.
Apart from this, the famous poets of Pakistan, Mr. Attaul Haque Qasmi, Salman Gilani, Hamida Shaheen, Dr. Fakhr Abbas, and Arsalan Abbas, participated as guest speakers and added to the splendour of the event.
