She gave a short briefing on the history of Kashmir. She said that Kashmir is our heart, and one day, the dream of freedom for Kashmiris will come true.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal said that we are very grateful to Health Minister Punjab Prof. Javed Akram and Dr Jamal Nasir for taking time out of their busy schedule on this special day. He said that freedom is a great blessing and we all should remember the oppressed Muslims of Kashmir and Palestine in our special prayers. He said that the voices of the Kashmiri and Palestinian people are being suppressed. We call upon the United Nations and the international community to play their role in ensuring the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people and to grant them the right to a referendum. At the end, he paid homage to the soldiers of our security forces for their unparalleled sacrifices.
Dr. Jamal Nasir said that we have to do some practical work for our oppressed Muslim brothers and sisters. He said the international community must give the people of Kashmir the right to self-determination. We must transform ourselves and do something exceptional for our nation, country, and oppressed Muslims around the world. He said that we are trying to improve the system under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi. Today we pledge to shun sectarianism, be united, and follow Allah’s Almighty commands.
Prof. Dr. Javed Akram said that we are grateful to Prof. Khalid Masood Gondal for inviting us today. He said that those nations that respect teachers get success. We are blessed that Allah has made us human beings. When I visited the occupied valley with my team in 2019, I faced many difficulties. Today, after Friday prayers, we should offer special prayers for our Kashmiri and Palestinian brothers and sisters, and it is our belief that Allah Almighty can do whatever He wants and whenever He wants. It is the law of nature that when oppression increases, it disappears. Women and children are dying daily in occupied Kashmir and Palestine. Raising the voice against oppression in Occupied Kashmir and Palestine is a painful example of the double standards of the western world. I strongly condemn the brutality in occupied Kashmir and Palestine. We request that the international community take immediate notice of the brutality in occupied Kashmir.
At the end of the event, certificates were distributed among the students who secured prominent positions in digital and handmade posters in the context of Black Kashmir Day.
A solidarity walk was also organized to raise voices against brutal violence in Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and Palestine.
