On this occasion, the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, FJMU has established a gallery exhibiting the display of contribution of Muslim scholars in various fields of sciences. On the discernment leadership of worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), the head of department of forensic medicine and toxicology FJMU, Dr. Tanveer Hussain, took special interest and put great effort to bring forth it. The students of 4th year MBBS session 2021-2022 participated enthusiastically in it. The inauguration of Pictorial Gallery is done by Worthy Vice Chancellor FJMU, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), on 5th June 2023. Principle FJMC Prof. Dr. Noreen Akmal, Director QEC/ Chairperson Medicine Prof. Dr. Bilquis Shabbir, HOD Community Medicine Dr. Taskeen, HOD Psychiatry Dr. Ayesha, HOD Pathology and Dean of Faculty Prof. Dr. Munazza Iqbal and other faculty members grace the occasion. The students presented their work and highlighted the achievements and remarkable contribution of Muslims in various fields of sciences. It emphasised the once renowned but now forgotten tradition of seeking and spreading knowledge. The respectable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), addresses the audience and gave an enlightened review of outstanding contributions of Muslims in medicine, pharmacology, mathematics, algebra, astronomy, geography, geology, chemistry and other fields. He said it’s the need of the hour that such academic activities should be done on regular basis so that the new generation must know the efforts of their forefathers. Under the leadership of VC Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), the torchbearer of knowledge and healthcare delivery system must follow the golden path of their forefathers for a better future.
