PRE-CONFERENCE HANDS-ON WORKSHOP ON “Transport of Critically Ill Patients

A pre-conference hands-on workshop on “Transport of Critically Ill Patients” was arranged by the Pulmonology & Critical Care Department, FJMU/SGRH, on 7th Nov 2024, headed by HOD Pulmonology & Critical Care Department, FJMU/SGRH, Dr. Waqas Gondal.

The esteemed Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Dr. Khalid Masud Gondal, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

Prof. Abdul Hameed, Principal FJMU, and Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Chairperson Medicine Department/ Dean Undergraduate and Director, QEC, also graced the workshop.

The target audience was the faculty members, postgraduate residents of the pulmonology and medicine departments, and medical officers from the ICU.

Overview, Guidelines about Safe Transfer of Inter & Intra Hospital, and Air Ambulance Transfer of Critically ill patients were discussed, and hands-on practice was also done.

The Worthy Vice Chancellor, FJMU Prof. Khalid Masud Gondal, made the concluding remarks that such activities have been a vital part of FJMU academics and aim at better healthcare provision to patients and updating the knowledge and skills of the upcoming young doctors and postgraduate residents. He also appreciated the Pulmonology & Critical Care Department, FJMU/SGRH, for organizing this successful workshop.
