Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore hosted the inaugural ceremony of a Capacity-Building Program for University Management in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan on 11th November, 2024 from 11th-15th November,2024.
Dr. Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director, National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal was the Patron-in-Chief.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Gondal welcomed Dr. Malik, emphasizing that learning is a lifelong process that begins at birth and continues until death. Such training programs are worthwhile to build up the performance of institutions. He expressed gratitude to Chairman HEC, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, and Dr. Malik for including FJMU in training programs.
Dr. Malik shared her insights, encouraging participants to share their knowledge with others and make the most of the training session. She praised Prof. Gondal’s visionary leadership and FJMU’s global representation. The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) conducts capacity-building programs for faculty and staff of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan.
Principal FJMC Prof. Abdul Hameed, Dean Undergraduate , Director QEC and Editor JFJMU Prof. Bilquis Shabbir, Dean Basic Sciences Prof. Aliya Zahid, Head Community Medicine Department Dr. Taskeen Zahra, Focal Person Dr. Uzma Iqbal, faculty members, and participants attended the ceremony. Prof. Ashfaq Ahmad from Punjab University participated as Chief Facilitator.
Participants from all managerial, administrative posts and faculty and heads if departments will be trained during this course.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Gondal presented an honorary shield to Dr. Noor Amna Malik. This capacity-building program aims to enhance the performance of university management, fostering excellence in higher education.
