The Board of Advanced Studies and Research shall:

1. advise an Authority on all matters connected with the promotion of advanced
2. studies and research publication in the University:
3. (b)consider and report to an Authority with regard to a research degree of the
4. University;
5. (c)propose regulations regarding the award of a research degree;
6. (d)appoint supervisors for a postgraduate research student and to approve title and
7. synopsis of a thesis or dissertation;
8. (e)recommend panels  of  names  of  examiners  for  evaluation  of  a  research
9. examination; and
10. (f)perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the statutes.
